I am a board-certified psychiatrist who specializes in reproductive psychiatry, helping women navigate the profound emotional and psychological shifts of pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, pregnancy loss, and menopause. Born and raised in the vibrant community of Orlando, FL, I bring a deep-rooted passion for mental health equity and women’s wellness to every patient interaction.
My journey in medicine reflects a commitment to excellence and empathy. I graduated summa cum laude from the prestigious Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a concentration in mental health. This strong foundation propelled me to the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in Chicago, IL, where I received my medical degree. I then honed my skills during residency in psychiatry at Northwell Health / Zucker Hillside Hospital in Queens, NY—a program renowned for its rigorous training in complex mental health care.
Seeking specialize expertise, I completed a fellowship in reproductive psychiatry at The Motherhood Center of New York. Over a full year, I immersed myself in treating women during the perinatal period, addressing conditions like perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, postpartum depression, and the intersection of hormonal changes with mental health. This experience solidified my approach: compassionate, collaborative care that empowers patients to thrive.
