Coral Psychiatry Pharmacy Concierge

Stimulant Pharmacy Search Service

  • Ongoing national medication shortages—especially for stimulant medications—have made it challenging for many patients to fill prescriptions. To reduce this stress and save you time, our team now offers a Stimulant Pharmacy Search Service through our Coral Pharmacy Concierge program, where our administrative assistants contact local pharmacies on your behalf to check medication availability.

    1. Our team will call up to three local or convenient pharmacies selected by you or recommended by our office.

    2. We will check availability for up to two specific stimulant medication options, including your preferred brand, generic, and dosage.

    3. You will receive an update via secure message or phone call with the search results (for example, which pharmacies currently have stock, when the next delivery is expected, or if a new prescription has been successfully sent to a pharmacy that confirmed the medication is in stock).

    • $35 per search.

    • Includes calling up to three pharmacies.

    • The search ends as soon as your medication is successfully located or we have called three pharmacies, whichever happens first.

    • This service is considered complete even if we find your medication at the very first pharmacy we call.

    • If another search is needed at a later time, a new concierge search will be initiated, and a new concierge fee will apply.

    • This service is designed to save you time and reduce the stress of calling multiple pharmacies yourself.

    • Covers up to two stimulant medication options per search (for example, Adderall XR 20 mg and Vyvanse 40 mg).

    • This is an optional, concierge-style administrative service. It is not covered by insurance and will appear as a separate charge.

    • If both medication options are unavailable, you may request an additional search as needed, which will incur a new fee.

    • We will use your preferred pharmacy list whenever possible; if you do not specify a pharmacy list, we will begin with the pharmacy you have on file and then search pharmacies nearby and/or within the same zip code as your home address.

    • We aim to complete each search within one business day, and definitely within two business days.

    • Message our office via your patient portal or call during business hours.

    • Tell us the two stimulants (and doses) you wish us to check.

    • Let us know if you have any pharmacy location preferences, such as specific chains, independent pharmacies, or geographic areas.

    • Pharmacy inventory changes quickly; medication that is in stock at the time of the search may be unavailable by the time you arrive.

    • This service does not replace medical advice or clinical follow-up; clinical decisions about changing medications or doses must be made with your prescriber.

    • If you are running low on medication, request this service as early as possible to reduce the chance of missed doses.

    • Pharmacies may return medications to stock or cancel stimulant prescriptions if they are not picked up within their holding window, which is often only a few days and determined by each pharmacyʼs internal policies and applicable regulations.

    • If your prescription is cancelled or returned to stock because it was not picked up in time, a new prescription may be required and cannot always be reissued immediately, depending on clinical judgment, safety considerations, and controlled substance regulations.

    • If your prescription is considered abandoned by the pharmacy and we need to resend a prescription, and this occurs outside of a scheduled appointment, the resend will be subject to our $25 out-of-appointment refill fee, as at that point we will have sent two prescriptions on your behalf and must bill for the administrative time required to process controlled substance prescriptions.

    • To reduce the risk of prescription abandonment or cancellation, plan to pick up your medication as soon as the pharmacy confirms it is ready and notify the pharmacy directly if you anticipate any delay.

  • Reach out via phone or patient portal message. Our team is here to support your care and help you navigate stimulant medication shortages with less stress.
